thoughts from the road
where I document personal experiences, travel insights, photography tips, outdoor adventures and more.
Path of The Gods- Positano, Italy
When you think of Italy you think of driving vespa’s along windy roads, eating the finest Italian cuisine paired with endless wine, art and romance. It’s a country on the top of almost every travelers list. Averaging over 50 million tourists a year.
The Taj Mahal
I never really thought I would be given the chance to see this seventh wonder of the world, yet there I was standing in front of all her glory. The Taj Mahal.
Pushkar, India - Solo Traveling
There’s a certain charm about this deeply rooted religious city. Cows wander around every corner and white marble is littered with flowers for Hindu Blessings. It’s grungy, cultural and a solo traveling photographer’s dream!
Why I Travel - A Night Under The Northern Lights
So here I was asking myself that “why” question while traveling through Iceland with my friend Kelsey. We had discussed every aspect of each other’s lives, but on this day we asked each other…"why do we travel?”
Normany, France- Minolta x700
Black and White frames of Rouen and Etretat, France captured on my Minolta x700 with Kodak Tmax100.
Iceland Van Adventures- Pros and Cons

A Ghana Getaway- Zaina Lodge
Welcome to Zaina Lodge, a unique little getaway you never would have expected! Located only 2.5 hours West of Tamale, you are soon in the heart of Mole National Park.
The Pink City- Jaipur India
Jaipur is the largest city and capital of the Indian State of Rajasthan and is also part of the West Golden Triangle. Like most places I visit, I did zero research beforehand, but fell in love no matter what.
Bangkok, Thailand
Like many tourists, we started our trip out floating down the river markets. Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to be exact. One of the most touristy markets to visit, but if you have the time it's a fun first stop.
Kenai Fjords National Park
Through the rainy water and you could see the clear opening to Bear Glacier, it was like a secret entrance into the ice world. I had been dreaming of seeing glaciers my whole life and here we were paddling towards them in the Kenai Fjords National Park.
Hatcher Pass, Alaska
The Hatcher Pass view is stunning within a mile of starting your hike. Opening up to the vast, green valley it’s hard to gain perspective as we search for our climbing route.
Talkeetna, Alaska
I was given some bear spray from a man at the RV place when I told him we might head to Talkeetna, he said there was a bear just yesterday that hung out in the bushes while they fished...
